A Poem: Beyond Religion
Beyond religion
We met in a Sky
With wings we flew
Into a cavern nearby,
There, in the darkness,
Resting from the flight,
You drew me to your heart,
In Silence you held me tight,
And in the secret place
I heard a whisper in the night,
Then day dawned ahead and
You drew me into the Light,
There, for some time, I know not how long,
I walked by faith,
For the darkness had closed my sight,
And you I saw without my sight, at last, with arms open wide,
In a place beyond wrong and right
And the burden did lift that I’d borne so long,
For beyond religion I had found you, True Love
Love Letter From The Holy Spirit
You see your sense of separation from me as something you caused. You think you must be to blame that I seem far away. Then, you try to set things right. My love, do not try to undo the sense of aloneness that is meant to draw you to a new, deeper intimacy with me. I am not a Lover who wants you to be content with glorifying me by your obedience. That is where you go wrong. I am not a Lover who needs to know that you simply obey me, as though obedience in itself pleases me. I am not a Lover of rules and restrictions. I am not a Lover who glories in limiting your freedom. No, I am a Lover in your life to midwife the love in you. So, see your sense of separation from me, your spiritual aridity, is another call from me, for you to come closer to my heart. And, when you are drawn close to my heart, to the point where there is no dividing point between you and me, you will enjoy the freedom beyond right and wrong, and Love alone will be your Guide. You are called to bring this freedom into the world, but you must live there first. And, living there can be a lonely place, at times. But, I will be with you. To live there you will have to draw on my strength every day, every moment. My love will meet your every need. And, remember, as you long for me, I long for you. Always know I have time for you and you can share anything with me, assured that I will not judge you or feel any less of you.
