The key to being a Divine Lover is to keep the energy flowing. With God and others, Love must guide us, rather than our guiding Love. If we seek to guide Love, Love will not cooperate, for Love acts freely. In relationships, including our relationship with the Spirit, if we seek to rush Love or delay Love, Love will not cooperate. Love itself will choose how and at what pace to unfold in every context, for Love is living, intelligent, and wise. Love is not an abstract idea; Love is a relational Being. Love’s only charge to us is for us to say “Yes” in every unfolding moment. As the Spirit is like Wind, which we do not control, Love is free to itself and sufficient to itself. Love seeks only to fulfill itself in its own way, in each relationship and circumstance. Love employs you and me as conduits of blessing. We are the servants of Love, Love is not our servant. The moment we seek to control the process that is Love, Love is thwarted and we suffer. Love is God’s energy, God’s self. Where Love flows, there is Shalom. Love is the verdant power of the Divine, bringing abundance into every space of openness. To empty ourselves for Love is to trust that Love flows into such humbled readiness to receive. Therefore, choose to be the servant of Love, and do not disdain the companionship and aloneness that Love brings into your life. For to enjoy the gains of Love, we must endure the losses of Love. And, Love will empty us out, to fill us with itself alone. Then, we will Love through Love, and no longer will we try to love. We, then, have become Love, one with the very will of Love, even without our having to choose that will; for in choosing Love and wedding Love, we become one with the will of Love, being one with Love itself. This is the will of God for everyone, in Christ.
