Prayer
Christ, your being Word is a mystery. Yet, we easily trade the sense of the mystery of you, the Word, for human words. The loud and many human words demand our attention and deafen to the Word quietly and gently whispering in the deepest part of being. You have shown so many, and you have shown me, at the core of being we participate in the grandest Mystery. Those who have followed you to the center testify to us that at the core is purity not riddled with conflict and unruly passions. There where we are all one with the Word, we find wise harmony and gentle peace. When I do not live from the center, I become plagued by separation from you and others. When I do not live from the mystical core of peace, I bring harm to others and myself. When I live from the center, I do not have to try to be harmony, I with ease and gracefulness manifests unselfconsciously the traits by which I know you to be the good, true, and beautiful. Tether me to you, that as you, I might have peace, be peace, and share peace. Amen.
