Suggestions For Reflection
1. Recall a time you chose an inconvenient, unpopular truth in contrast to a convenient, popular claim to truth. What was that like for you? Are you glad you made that choice?
2. What is meant by integrating spirituality and intellect?
3. Do you feel the church or other spiritual group you belong to is prepared intellectually and spiritually to deal honestly with the more complex issues of religion, theology, morality, and spirituality? Explain.
4. When you think on the word "church" or "religion" do you associate "honest intellectually" or "dishonest intellectually" more with the word?
5. When you think on the word "church" do you associate "religious" or "spiritual" more with the word?
6. Which do you fear the most regarding truth claims of the Christian faith or group to which you belong~being dishonest or being ostracized by those close to you for being honest?
