Predictable Miracles, Daily

The Power of Commitment

Feb 22, 2006

Saying For Today: Jesus seemed to have no consciousness allowing belief in the impossible.

The quotes below each pertain, in some way, to Divine Providence and the Potentiality of the Divine in our daily lives, as persons and community.

Help me to wait for Your enabling grace without discouragement.

—Susanna Wesley

That predictable miracles are not occurring in our lives, regularly, does not mean they cannot occur; rather, the lack of these predictable miracles only evidences how out of touch most persons are with the Implicate Order, God, the One, Universal Potentiality… whatever you want respectfully to call This. The Gospels show us a man, a universal man, who lived daily in the world of the Possible. Jesus seemed to have no consciousness allowing belief in the impossible. He passed this on to his disciples, and in Acts we see predictable miracles. We can still, today, if we realign with the Father of Jesus Christ. Indeed, every true saint of whatever religion finds her creative saintliness in communion and union with the one Jesus Christ called “my Father.”

—Brian K. Wilcox

Until one is committed there is hesitancy, then chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise never have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.

—W. N. Murray, The Scottish Himalayan Expedition

The people who come to you are the very people you need in relation to your commitment. Doors open, a sense of flow develops, and you find you are acting in a coherent field of people who may not even be aware of one another. You are not acting any longer, but out of the unfolding generative order. This is the unbroken wholeness of the implicate order out of which seemingly discrete events take place. At this point, your life becomes a series of predictable miracles.

—Joseph Jaworski, Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership

What is enabling Grace? What is its relationship to Divine Providence?

How might you daily invite the Divine Synchronicity into your life, so that predictable miracles are a daily occurrence?

What is the difference between living from being, rather than living to be doing?
