Two, One and Only in Love
Okay! Alright now! … Quit that! I think I finally get it.
If you’re not tickling me under my armpits, you’re hanging from the rafters smiling down at sad me.
You’re crazy, out of your mind! “Yes! and just for you Brian!”
Well, I guess with all this laughter and out of bounds silliness, you’ve at last convinced me not to take this all so seriously.
Okay, give me just a moment to think~ What to reply to such Love? … I’ll show you how much I love you by standing on that end table over there singing to you like I’m crazy too.
“Brian, you never knew Love could be so much fun, did you?” Nope, sure didn’t!
“It Can Be when it’s me and you, together, two, one and only in Love!”
Let a little more of that honey drip from your lips. What do you call that taste that sets me free, anyway? "Grace."

Spiritual Exercise
Read the poem over slowly. What does it say to you? About you? What does it summon from you in feeling? In thought?
How would you describe grace in "nonreligious" terms? What is the relationship among grace, love, and freedom?
Why not venture out and write a poem expressing your grace-full relationship with God? Or someone else ~ a friend, lover, wife or husband, ...? After all ~ All True Love is Spiritual!
