Wisdom Story
On a bitterly cold night, a Rabbi and his disciples huddled around a fire. One disciple, echoing his Teacher's teachings, said, "On a freezing night like this I know exactly what to do!" The others asked, "What?" "Keep warm!," he spoke. "And if that isn't possible, I still know what to do." "What?" inquired his confused companions. "Freeze."

Oneness with God is not denial of Reality. We still experience the varied textures of everyday experience. We know that behind such variety is the One.
Indeed, the Way of Pure Faith is through the textures. All the textures of Life is the garment of the Word. We touch Grace and receive Grace through the stuff of everyday Living.
Even that which oppresses us comes to be seen as a veil to reach through with Faith and into the Most Holy Place, where the Light of Love waits for our reaching. The Presence can ordain, then, all things for our good. Still, to get to that good, we do not deny that which displeases us, but go by means of it to Grace, and we find that Graces goes by means of it to touch us.
The way to the transforming of all is the Pure Faith that accepts all, even as the way to have all is to desire Nothing. The way to comfort is through discomfort, even as the way to Resurrection is by dying.
The dying is a loving resignation willing to look into life and reach through to the Grace that honors trusting resignation.
This resignation is the abdication of our self-orientation. In this dying is the unfolding of Resurrection, a new way of living and seeing Reality.
