Speaking In Christ for the Other

On AuthoritativePrayer

Page 2

We can engage in Authoritative Prayer for another person. Here, I recommend your being careful. First, ask yourself: Is Christ calling me to do this for this person? Recall, negative energy is powerful, and in trying to help a person caught in a think negative energy, you can easily be pulled into the power of that dark, detracting, and malicious influence.

Okay, let us return to that word "malicious." The dark side is always malicious. Here what Jesus says: The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life (John 10.10, NLT).

Now, note the contrast between Christ and evil. Evil is always detracting from the other, seeking to harm him or her, or whole groups of persons. Steal what? Kill what? Destroy what?

Evil annihilates peace of mind, kindness of heart, brotherhood and sisterhood, loyalty, truthfulness, reputation, graciousness, positivity, strength, fortitude, vision, loveliness, temperance, reconciliation, sacred covenants, ... See, this is a universal truth about evil: at core evil is detractive and destructive, for evil is malicious. "Satan" is the essence of substantive hate. "Satan" and "hate" are one word.

Notice Christ, who is the good Shepherd, and who represents all persons who seek to live His spirit and way. "My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." The Christ spirit, the Holy Spirit, and the person who is filled with it, brings the opposite of evil, the dark force. Christ and a Christlike presence, one of this or the other side, will always be a presence bringing all associated with life. Why? At core Christ-likeness is Love.

So, we utilize Authoritative Prayer, when we sense the Spirit calling us to, for a person whom we discern is caught in darkness. We do this in the name of Christ, even speaking the name "Christ," the authority positioned over all seen and unseen authorities. We can speak directly to any authority and in the name of Christ, speaking the release of that person, and her or his healing, in the power of Christ.

Before you engage in this form of prayer for someone, pray the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Love, the Holy Spirit, to cover you like a blanket, or to surround you like a hedge. Tell the Spirit that you are going to speak the name of Christ on behalf of the person: name that person before Christ. After the prayer, pray for protection from any residue of the evil upon you.

One means of Authoritative Prayer is to visualize yourself taking the person to Christ. Here, you do not speak to any evil authority. You only give the person to Christ, in the Light, requesting Christ to bring release to her or him. Release him or her into the arms of Jesus. Then, leave. Do not remain. You may discern to enter prayer for him or her, joining your prayer with the Presence of Christ, but leave the state of visualization, and in no way seek to manipulate what is happening on the other side between Christ and this person.

Finally, you can do Authoritative Prayer for someone who has hurt you deeply. But you must prepare yourself. You must be prepared by the Holy Spirit to do so in Love. Part of the preparation may be having a person or persons filled with the Holy Spirit to pray with and over you. Likewise, you might ask such persons to be praying for the person at the same time of day or night you are.

If there is any malice in your heart toward the person, that malice is of the darkness, and that malice is joined with the darkness, already. Also, that malice, if there remains a strong spiritual connection between you and the other person, is already bringing him or her suffering. While he or she may be bringing you suffering, your negativity is likely asserting a negativity upon her or him, also ~ such is the nature of spiritual bonds. So, in your hurt, malice can be blocking healing both in you and the other. You must pray for freedom from the malice before doing the Authoritative Prayer.
